We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our care home team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with a keen interest in creating delicious dishes that meet our high standards. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Requirements

Duties Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Help create an enjoyable dining atmosphere by presenting dishes attractively.

Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new techniques within the culinary field.
